“Soulful family connection in nature”
When do we take time to find the stillness that allows us to connect with ourselves and be present with our children? The busyness of family life demands so much that we spend a lot of our time rushing from one thing to another without consciously connecting with ourselves and our rapidly changing kids.
The Kindred Family Yoga & Tai Chi Retreat offers an antidote. Set in the natural wonder of the foothills of the Barringtons, Jay and Nadine have created a very special weekend away.
A chance for parents to take some time to practice themselves, for kids to have guided fun together and also opportunity for both adults and children to explore and be playful as a family. Nourishing food, largely created by Nadine and Jay who have a background at the River Cafe, London.
The site for this retreat is Wangat Lodge which offers a deep sense of serenity amongst tall trees, running water and wildlife. Connect with your child self and with your children in the majestic stillness of nature.
The weekend begins on the Friday afternoon and will conclude on the Sunday afternoon. Expect yoga for adults and tai chi for kids, tai chi for adults and yoga for kids, bush walks, swimming, archery, family yoga, a mandala art workshop, a guided night walk and guided bird watching. Wangat lodge also has table tennis, a volley ball court and lots of natural cubby making materials. All activities are of course optional.
Babies and toddlers are welcome however if you are to join us on the walks it will be helpful if you can carry them in a child carrier. Kids yoga is suitable from ages 6 and up and the tai chi kids classes will be suitable from 8 years and up.
No previous experience of yoga or tai chi is required but an open mind is!
